Usain Bolt basically repeated his performance from the 2008 Olympics by winning the 100 and 200 meters and running on Jamaica's victorious 4 x 100-meter relay squad. Bolt didn't set any individual world records in 2012, as he did in 2008, but he did become the first-ever Olympian to repeat as both the 100- and 200-meter gold medalist. Bolt's relay team set a world mark, as did Kenya's David Rudisha in the 800 meters, while Great Britain's Mo Farah thrilled the home fans by winning both the 5000- and 10,000-meter races.
