Virginia Tech picked the right season to begin competing in the women's indoor 4 x 200-meter relay. The Hokies quartet of Patrice Potts, Britni Spruill, Kristi Castlin and Queen Harrison set an NCAA indoor record Jan. 12 during the Virginia Tech Invitational, winning the event with a time of 1:36.43.
